Im new to ranked so I only have 14 elo, but if I lose a match and lose elo, do I also lose points for the chests?

All the chips you earn are yours to keep. Think of it as another currency and not ELO. As for chest luck, idk. I save up my chips until I can invest into either 200% luck and a roll (21 chips) or the battle pass.

Id recommend getting the battle pass up to king of fighters and then start using chests.
